Golf Coaching at FlexTee: What a 60-Minute Session Looks Like (and How to Get Better Fast)
June 2026 • FlexTee
If you've ever left the range thinking, “I've hit loads of balls… but I'm not sure what I actually improved” — this is for you.
Coaching at FlexTee is designed to be simple, structured, and confidence-building. You'll get clear feedback, measurable progress, and a plan you can repeat — whether you're returning to golf, trying to break a scoring barrier, or just want your practice to finally make sense.
Who this is for
- Golfers who want a clear plan instead of guesswork
- Beginners who want to build confidence quickly
- Returning golfers who want to find their swing again without pressure
- Players who feel stuck with inconsistent strike, direction, or distance control
What happens when you arrive (no fuss)
When you arrive at FlexTee, you'll enter using your booking instructions/access details, head straight to your assigned bay, and get set up. If you need a hand getting started (settings, clubs, or getting the session running), guidance is available — then we'll get into the coaching.
What we'll do in a 60-minute coaching session (simple structure)
Every session is tailored, but here's a typical 60-minute flow that works brilliantly indoors.
Quick check-in: what are we improving today? (5 minutes)
We'll pick one clear focus:
- Straighter drives (dispersion)
- Better contact (strike)
- More consistent distances (gapping)
- Wedge control
- Start line / curvature (face + path)
The goal is clarity: one priority, one plan.
Baseline: measure what's happening now (10 minutes)
We'll hit a small set of shots to establish a baseline. This helps us avoid “feel-based” coaching and focus on what's actually happening. Depending on your goal, we may look at:
- Start direction
- Shot shape
- Carry distance consistency
- Strike quality
- A couple of key launch monitor numbers (only the ones that matter for you)
One change that creates the biggest win (20 minutes)
Instead of ten swing thoughts, we'll work on one change that gives you the biggest improvement per minute. That might be:
- A setup tweak that instantly improves strike
- A simple face/path feel to reduce big misses
- A tempo/rhythm cue to tighten dispersion
- A contact drill you can repeat every session
You'll get feedback you can understand — and a way to self-correct.
Skill-building: a drill you can repeat (15 minutes)
This is where progress sticks. We'll use a drill that matches your goal and is easy to repeat in future practice sessions. You'll know:
- What to do
- What “good” looks like
- What to track
- How many balls to hit
- When to move on
Lock it in: a mini “on-course” test (10 minutes)
To finish, we'll apply the change under a bit of pressure — because that's what transfers to the course. Examples:
- 9-shot challenge (different targets)
- Fairway-finder test with driver
- Wedge ladder (carry control)
- “Two-ball rule” (simulate consequences)
You'll leave knowing what to practise next — and how.
What you'll leave with (this is the difference)
A good coaching session shouldn't just feel good — it should give you a plan. You'll leave with:
- A clear priority for your swing/game
- A simple drill you can repeat
- A practice structure for your next sessions
- A way to measure progress (without obsessing over numbers)
Common questions (quick answers)
“Do I need to be a good golfer to get coached?”
Not at all. Coaching is often more helpful early on because it builds confidence and avoids bad habits.
“Will it be too technical?”
Only as technical as you want it to be. We keep it practical: simple cues, clear feedback, and repeatable drills.
“Can coaching help if I’m returning after a long break?”
Yes — it’s one of the best use-cases for indoor coaching. You can rebuild strike and confidence in a controlled environment.

Your clubs if you have them, and a glove if you like using one. Trainers are fine.
